In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
When the mixture becomes creamy, stir in egg and blend. (Photo #1)
Mix in flour and pull the dough together.
After refrigerating for an hour, work the dough again. (Photo #2)
Using the palms of your hands, roll the dough into 1cm X 5cm bars. (Photo #3)
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (365 °F) for 8 - 10 minutes until brown. (Photo #4)
After cooling, sprinkle with confectioners’ sugar generously.
