Wash apple thoroughly and dice into 2cm pieces.
Dissolve sugar in liqueur. Marinate the apple pieces in the liqueur mixture for one hour. (Photo #1)
Lightly sautée the marinated apples in a frying pan. (Photo #2)

In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
Mix in beaten egg and the sifted dry ingredients, in that order, and blend. (Photo #1)
Add the sautéed apples and mix well. (Photo #2)
Pour the batter into a heated frying pan, cover, and cook on medium. (Photo #3)
When the surface becomes dry and little holes appear on it, place the cake onto a platter to serve.
