Chop chocolate. Melt the chocolate over low heat or by double boiling.
Cream together butter and sugar. (Photo #1)
Stir in beaten eggs, a little at a time.
Stir in the melted chocolate and blend.
Add sifted flour and blend well to make a smooth batter. (Photo #2)
Fill a baking tray with the batter to a depth of 1cm. Spread strawberry jam on the surface about 3mm thick. (Photo #3)
Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (365 °F) until brown.
Cut into 4cm squares. (Photo #4)
